Drivers for WAC trips If you're looking at this site, it's because you're considering becoming an official driver for WAC trips! Thank you for pursuing this! Here is what I need you to do to become an authorized driver: #1 You (probably) need to be over 25 years of age. As far as I know, there is no formal GGUSD rule on this, but to drive rental vans for WAC, you'd need to be at least 25 years old. #2 You'd need to make a copy of your driver's license. #3 You'd need to make a copy of your auto insurance policy, and this copy needs to include this information: a) your policy number; b) your name needs to be on the policy; c) the policy must have minimum bodily injury liability of $100,000 for each person, and minimum bodily injury liability of $300,000 for each incident; d) the license plate number of the car you'd be driving; e) the start and expiration dates of your policy. #4 You'd need to fill out a form called "Use of Private Vehicle" (see the link "GGUSD Driver Authorization" at the bottom of this page). Are you still with me? Thanks... #5 Then what you'll do is send me all those copies (I'd prefer if you could scan them and send them to me in an email). I'll file them with my school office. About gasoline costs.... ICO will pay for the gas you use in transporting our kids. Here's what I'd like you to do: Sometime prior to the trip, or anytime during the trip, please gas up your car with same amount of gas that you think you'll use. I can help you calculate this, if you'd like. Save the gas receipt, and give it to me. I'll reimburse you immediately with my personal funds (Don't worry...I'll ask our ICO Treasurer Dick Schroer to reimburse me later...I just want to make sure that your gas costs are covered immediately; this way you don't have to be inconvenienced by having to wait or worry about reimbursement, OK?)
