Hello Students and Parents,
This 2019-2020 school year will be my 14th year teaching in the Garden Grove District, and will mark my 11th year teaching at Bolsa Grande. With each passing year, I grow more proud to be a part of the Matador family.
Currently, I teach 3 social science classes:
AP World History (1st Period)
AP Human Geography (5th Period)
U.S. History (Periods 2, 3, &4)
This will be my 3rd year teaching AP World History, my 2nd year teaching AP Human Geography, and my 6th year teaching U.S. History.
I also taught English for my 1st 8 years in the district. Over that period I taught English 1P, 1H, 2P, 2H, 3P, and 4P.
Beyond the classroom, I am deeply involved in our football program. I have been coaching football at Bolsa Grande for the past 11 seasons, as I was the head freshmen coach from 2009-2014, and have been the varsity Defensive Coordinator since 2014.
Also, I am the adviser for the Make-A-Wish Club. The Make-A-Wish Club works directly with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and our sole purpose is to raise money with a goal of sponsoring a child with a terminal illness/disease. Our goal is to raise enough money to sponsor a child and have a life-long dream of theirs fulfilled. For further information about the Make-A-Wish Foundation, please visit their website wish.org.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my wife, Megin, and my 2 year old son, Atticus.
I am looking forward to a fun, exciting, and rigorous 2019/2020 school year!
