Hello and welcome to my webpage --
The 2015-2016 school year will be my inaugural year at Bolsa Grande High School! I am looking forward to an engaging, exciting, and successful year.
I earned a B.A in history from UC Santa Barbara, received my teaching credential from Concordia University, and am currently pursuing a masters in education at Fresno Pacific University. I grew up in Orange County, and reside in Huntington Beach with my wife (also a teacher) and my eleven year old twin daughters. I enjoy reading and learning, as well as an active lifestyle. In terms of being “active” I enjoy surfing, snowboarding, running half marathons, rock climbing, mountaineering, hiking, and camping. Some of my favorite authors are the historians Howard Zinn, and Carol Quigley, as well as the economist Jim Rickards. With regards to fiction, I enjoy works by Charles Bukowski, Kurt Vonnegut Jr., and Chuck Palahniuk.
My favorite quote in terms of historical significance and geopolitics is by George Orwell.
To wit: “Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past.”
