The New Classroom Cell Phone Policy
- Classroom Phone Caddies: Upon entering each classroom, students will be expected to place their cell phones into a designated classroom phone caddy.
- Phones During Class Time: Phones must remain in the caddy for the duration of the period unless the teacher explicitly directs students to retrieve them for an instructional activity.
- Break, Lunch, & Passing Periods: Students may use their phones freely before and after school, during passing periods, and during break and lunch.
- Progressive Discipline: Failure to follow the classroom phone procedure will result in progressive disciplinary action.
- Hall Passes: As in the past, students will not be permitted to take their phones with them while on a hall pass.
Family Communication During the School Day
We understand that parents and guardians may occasionally need to reach their children during the day.
- For Urgent Matters: Please call the Main Office at 714-663-6424, and our staff will relay a message or connect you with your student immediately.
- For Non-Urgent Messages: Text messages sent to your student during class will not be seen right away, but students are welcome to check and respond to messages during break, lunch, and passing periods.
Our goal with this policy is to reduce digital distractions, foster face-to-face peer connections, and maximize learning time. We appreciate your partnership and support in making this transition smooth for everyone.
