MATHadors Nation!
Dear Students and Families,
Welcome, and thank you for stopping by! I'm excited for the year ahead and can't wait to get to know each of you. Whether this is your first time in my classroom or you're a returning face, I hope you're as ready as I am for a great year of learning, building, and discovery.
This year I have the privilege of teaching AP Statistics, Introduction to Engineering Design (IED), and Environmental Engineering. While each course is different, they all share the same spirit: asking good questions, thinking critically, and applying what we learn to real problems in the world around us. My classroom is a hands-on, collaborative space where curiosity is encouraged and mistakes are simply part of the process of learning something new.
What to Expect
- Real-world relevance — every course connects classroom concepts to problems and questions you'll actually encounter beyond school.
- Hands-on learning — expect to investigate, design, build, and collaborate rather than just take notes.
- A supportive environment — I'm here to help every student succeed, and I welcome questions and conversations any time.
- Clear communication — course materials, assignments, and updates will be shared through Google Classroom throughout the year.
I believe this is going to be a fantastic year, and I'm looking forward to working with each of you. If you ever have questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out by email or stop by Room 325.
Warmly,
Mr. Tonthat
