#1
a: 2Al + 3Cl2 --> 2AlCl3
b: 49.39 g of AlCl3

#2 new vol is 8 L

#3
a: K = [NH3] [H+] / [NH4+]

b: 6.82x 10^-5 = [x] [x] /[0.01 M]

x = 8.26 x10^-4 M

#4 since there is 0.05 M HCl left

HCl --> H+ + Cl-
0.05 0 0

so [H+] = 0.05 M

pH = 1.3

Q2: label the acid, base, conj acid, conj base (2 pts)
Q3:Calculate the amount of NaOH used for each trial(1 pt)
Q4: Calculate the molarity of Acetic acid (4 pts)
Given that the vinegar is 4.87% acetic acid by mass, and the density of acetic acid is 1.049 g/mL

use this formula to calculate the expected [CH3COOH]=

(3 mL vingear)(Density of vinegar)(percentage of acid)
(molar mass of acetic acid)(volume of diluted CH3COOH---50 mL)

note: 50 mL needs to be in Liters

Q5: using MV=MV, calculate the [CH3COOH] from your data.  (3pts)

item 6: error analysis 5 pts

analysis questions

Q#1- ReWrite your prelab question #2 here.

Q#2-Use your data to make a graph. volume on the y axis and temperature in C on the x axis.

Q#3- Make a best fit line on your graph, then extend it until you hit 0 volume. What is the temperature?

Error Analysis
#1 Using -273 C as your expected, and your answer from Q#3 as your actual, calc % error

write a paragraph on What steps could you have done different to account for your errors?

Conclusion

to do the lab question.

first plot the points in excel. then add trendline, linear.

then right click on the line, in the options, add equation, and forcast it back until your line hits the x axis.

whatever the point is will be YOUR absolute zero. use that as an actual to do your % error
