In this presentation you are going to talk about the body, and injuries. You can simulate and accident, and be taken to a hospital where you’re seeing by a doctor. You need to use the vocabulary from unit 3.3 including the body parts, and the symptoms you feel. You also need to use the verb HACER referring to time (hace…que), and the subjunctive with impersonal expressions. You can do your presentation in groups of up to three, or solo, but no more than 3 students per presentation. Each student must talk for 90 seconds in order to receive full credit.

In this oral presentation you will plan a party. It can be a birthday, a wedding, a holyday, etc. you can work in groups if up to 3 students. Each one must use part of the vocabulary on unit 2.2, as well as the preterit, the imperfect, and the progressive. The idea is not to create random sentences, but to use the grammar when appropriate. As you may notice in the rubric, your grade is individual, but there is a 10 points grade for group effort. This will be evaluated according to how you transition, and how the topic flows between presenters.

The story can be fantasy or fable, but try to bring a moral into the story, for children books have that characteristic. The book must have plenty of illustrations, for that is also a characteristic of children books. The book will be graded based on effort, and neatness, and it is expected that each one of the members on your group participate equally. The book must have a minimum of 5 pages to make it a complete story. Each group will read the story to the audience if the fashion of a kindergarten classroom. Each story must have a song that reminds the audience of the story. Have fun.

In this presentation you will talk about the news, ways to communicate them, and react to the news. In groups of 3 you will create a situation where you interview a celebrity (actor/actress/ politician, author etc). Two students can play the role of reporters, and a third will answer the questions asked. You need to include the vocabulary from unit 1.3 as well as the preterit, and demonstrative pronouns as well as nationalities. Make this a fun project, and remember that understanding what you’re saying is better and safer than memorizing. You need to improvise a background stage with a poster, or a power point

Course Description: The different levels of Spanish will concentrate on the Spanish speaking world culture as a means to acquire language skills. It is throughout the process of learning how people live, what they think, and their cultural intricacies that we learn to use a language effectively.
Each student needs to have a binder for the class separated from other subjects, which will be collected randomly twice per semester, and will earn a maximum of 25 points each time.
Binder Division: The binder needs to have 5 different divisions for the following activities:

Práctica: Students go home with an assignment every day. It is their responsibility to turn it in on time to earn full credit. Practice is a way to assess your own progress, and to communicate with your teacher to check for understanding.
