Geometry

Welcome to your Geometry class for the 2013-2014 school year.  The course content includes basic elements and definitions of geometry; relationships of point, line, and plane; congruent figures; similar figures; and a study of circles.  In geometry we will cover many topics including, but not limited to, proofs, parallel and perpendicular lines, properties of triangles and other polygons, and applications of area and volume.  Students will move on to higher-level math courses with an increased ability to apply their math skills to the solution of problems involving measurement, physical relationships, and logical proof.
