ELD A Block (Section 1-2)

This is the second level in our ELD program. Students will be taught in English to improve listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students will participate in the Reading Counts program, write papers that include a topic sentence, body, and conclusion. Students will become familiar with present, simple past tense, and many irregular past tense verbs.
Students will have opportunities to read a variety of genres from the Milestones text and several abridged novels throughout the year.
Through a variety of activities, students will work to improve oral skills to communicate clearly in English.
