What is The PSAT/NMSQT?
PSAT Stood for Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. It is a shortened version of the SAT containing old SAT questions. It is sometimes taken by 10th graders for practice. It is also the sole criterion that qualifies students for National Merit scholarships.

What is the National Merit Scholarship Corporation?
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation is an independent non-profit organization in Evanston, Illinois that administers two scholarship programs, the National Merit Scholarship Program and the National Achievement Scholarship Program. The Corporation uses the PSAT to qualify students.
