Welcome to Bolsa Grande Athletics! 

Athletic Director's Message

To the Parents, Students and Alumni of Bolsa Grande High School,

The Athletic Department, knows the value of Bolsa Grande's Athletic experience in your child's life and we are happy to play a part in it! Approximately 900 out of 1750 of our student body are involved in athletics and join the rich tradition that started in 1960 and has produced many great men and women in the past 62 years. Being a part of the Garden Grove League adds to the thrill and excitement in each of our 21 sports. Throughout the years we have had many league and individual championships, including the 1986 CIF Football Central Conference Champions!
 
Fall sports (Boys & Girls Cross Country, Football, Girls Tennis, Girls Volleyball, Cheer, Boys Water Polo and GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL-coming in fall of 2024!! ) practice and compete from mid-August to mid November.
 
Winter Sports (Boys & Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls Soccer, Cheer and Girls Water Polo) practice and compete from mid November to mid February.
 
Spring Sports (Baseball, Softball, Boys & Girls Swimming, Boys Tennis, Boys and Girls Track, Cheer and Boys Volleyball) practice and compete from mid February to mid May.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO PARTICIPATE IN ATHLETICS AT BOLSA GRANDE

To participate, an athlete must have:

 

1. Current physical (Bolsa Grande will host a FREE PHYSICAL DAY for all returning BG student-athletes AND any 8th grader who plans on attending BGHS and participating in Athletics on WEDNESDAY, MAY 8TH @ 3:15PM)

 

2. Complete the On-Line registration for the 2024-2025 school year. Please put your 24-25 grade level!  The 2024-25 Athletic Clearance should be available to fill out by May 1, 2024.  (https://athleticclearance.com/)

 

3. Have health insurance (insurance is also available for purchase in the Athletic Office)

 

**Athletic form must be turned to the head coach or Athletic Director BEFORE the athlete can participate.  Information and athletic form can be found online at: bolsagrande.org

To participate in Bolsa Grande Athletics programs you need to complete all forms and requirements at BGHS Athletic Clearance
